I've been bemoaning the fact that everything I do has square edges or geometric shapes and I couldn't understand why. I think of myself as a organic, nature-loving person and Mother Nature doesn't always have such rigid designs. So why do my pieces come out that way. In going through some old (like 40 years ago old) papers and revisiting my childhood I found these pieces of a gravel crusher business at the top of the mountain between my home town in Massachusetts and the university town on the other side of the mountain. Then there was a picture of the university library, and I remembered that my Father was a structural engineer. I'm about as far from math and science leanings as you can get, but it seemed to be one of those "AHA!" moments. So now I understand a bit more about myself, but I can still change, can't I?

  1. These are very fabulously mentally engineered pieces...ain't nothin' bad happening here...yet the urge to move forward and curve into the unknown is such a wonderful way to travel...
the AHA's count..this will be so excellent to witness...ripping and tearing and no straight edges await ...I can feel it.
