Sweet Dreams

When we travel, like we did this past weekend, I always like to take my favorite pillow with me. It seemed that being my favorite pillow it deserved better treatment than to be hauled around in a white plastic kitchen trash bag. So, I made a lined, cotton drawstring bag using some of my dyed fabric. The middle section with the "Sweet Dreams" was made using Elmer's School Glue as a resist and dyed with Dynaflow and Setacolor Soleil. I cut random strips of more previously dyed fabric from my stash and pieced it together on either side. The rest of the bag is from a big piece dyed "shibori" style on a PVC pipe. The project was a happy exercise for a rainy day, and the pillow seems to be happy with its new carry bag, too.
