I'm not planning to knit socks anytime soon, but this is a great little bag to hold all sorts of things and only took me (a non-sewing type) about an hour to complete once all the pieces were cut out. It uses a little less than two fat quarters worth of fabric, and Terry Atkinson's directions are very easy to follow.
