Once again The Moody Crewe (www.moodycrewe.com)took part in the Greenville Pirate Fest. Fourteen of the Crewe were there to interact with the crowd and teach the "School of the Sailor" to young buccaneers. Saturday was also the first appearance of the Goose & Bull Tavern representing food and drink of coastal Virginia in 1689. It was a wonderful day until the threat of ominous weather sent us packing!
The Crewe will be celebrating "Scurvy Awareness Day" on Friday, May 2 at Busky's Chill & Grill in Chesapeake, VA along with the musical Calypsonuts (www.calypsonuts.com). Methinks there will be lemon, lime or orange beverages and the possibility of rum! The Calypsonuts have graciously allowed the Crewe to promote the Treasure the Chest Pirate Fest which is raising money for the Virginia Breast Cancer Foundation (www.treasurethechest.com)at Scurvy Awareness Day. Hope to see you there!
OK Mateys, that's enough shameless promotion for one day...
