I had a distressing email from a neighbor that reads my blog. It seems that a "hacker" decided to post a comment that was really only an opportunity to forward a virus to anyone who tried to open it. I've never really understood the mindset of hackers. The thought of destroying other peoples computers just because you can doesn't compute in my brain. I'm not a big corporation with deep pockets and world-wide influence. I'm just one person musing on the sometimes bumpy road of life, and this would be one of those bumps. The experience made me feel violated and intruded upon, and momentarily took the joy out of blogging. A very wise friend suggested I write about the incident, so now I feel better and back on track. But, for the time being all comments will be hidden and only members will be able to post them. Bummer!
As I sit at my desk I always see this message from the Dahlai Lama. So Mr. or Ms. Hacker if you are still out there...ponder this...
