Fabric Art August 1

I spent the morning heat setting fabric dyed during those hot days in July, and the afternoon riding around looking for the perfect neighborhood to move to, and if by chance there were any houses for sale. Visited an open house and passed on a couple others that didn't call out to me.
A plan to bolster my spirits came to me while I was riding around (momentum seems to cheer the soul even on a gloomy, rainy day). I'm going to post one of my hand-dyed fabrics everyday for 31 days. I am a "nature artist" and there is nature everywhere, even if I would prefer it to be by salt water.
Here is #1, a weedy grass that pops up along the edges of the street in our neighborhood. Personally, I think it's a graceful, beautiful weed!
