Losing My Identity?

This was the sunrise on July 31st from our balcony in Chic's Beach overlooking the Chesapeake Bay. As of this past week we have sold our house and the closing is August 31st. Then we step off into the unknown as to where we will live next. I'm trying so hard to concentrate on the positive - a single family home with a yard for a dog and real garden space and a place for each of us to have workspace, but...I'm a salt water person, My hand-dyed fabrics, my photos, my favorite colors all come back to blue water and sand. I'm having a hard time wrapping my mind around living in a subdivision with lawn and a tree canopy that blocks the glories of the sky, and no wide open vistas of my favorite bay with the horizon in the distance. I've given myself the power of positive thinking pep talk a hundred times that it will all work out for our highest good- but if I don't live by salt water, who am I????
