Fish Rubbings
The last warm (as in 82 degrees) day we had I just had to be outside. So, I packed up my Crayola Fabric Crayons and some white muslin and went to the beach to make some fish rubbings of the seawall. There is a frieze of a school of fish that protrudes from the wall across the street from the "camp."
The bottom piece of fabric is the original rubbing. I placed another piece of plain fabric over the rubbing and ironed them both to set the crayons. What you end up with is a ghost image of the original. As always the sound of gentle waves breaking on the beach and the fragrance of the eleaegnus flowers softly drifting my way added to the experience of sitting in the sand in the sun playing with crayons.

Love the fish! Very cool. If I remember, I'll bring some rubber fish I have at school.
