Living in "The camp" means we don't have any of our Christmas decorations, so I decided to make ourselves Christmas stockings - just in case Santa Claus could find us.
My stockings are dyed using the cold weather ice, snow, and sun to serendipitiously manipulate the dye on white cotton duck fabric. I added some cold oil crayon rubbings just to jazz them up a bit. These are the results before I sewed them together and added the white cuffs and hangers. Makd me actually look forward to cold weather for the dyeing possiblities!
