Wednesday we went across the bridge into Beaufort in search of adventure. Here we found a delightful little shop with handmade pieces called "Art and Soul."
After there we stopped at my favorite museum the North Carolina Maritime Museum and had lunch along the waterfront. One of the people we met told us about The Old Burying Ground with a grave for a little girl buried in a keg of rum. Not sure what the back story is there, but the grave resembles Marie Laveau's in New Orleans with all the offerings left on it.
Then there was the grave for the privateer from the Snap Dragon complete with cannon.
And a lovely walk on the beach with a friend-
And a relaxing sunset dinner at McCurdy's on Moolight Bay.
