Another fabulous road trip to Folly Beach, SC to meet my good friend from Atlanta for a few days. After all the rain here this summer the sunshine and warm weather was most welcome. On the way down I went through Georgetown which had a devastating fire a year ago in the business part of town. The businesses that were lost are immortalized in a mural on the side of one of the buildings nearby.
We ate WELL at CRU in Charleston (on Motley Lane), Page's Okra Grill in Mt. Pleasant, and our favorite breakfast spot The Lost Dog Café in Folly. All too soon it was time to come home again to my loving husband and puppy.
I feel so at home amongst the beauty of the surrounding marsh and the Folly River, and there's something captivating about the lines of the marsh grass. The wheels are turning about how to translate what my eye saw to fabric.
