Ice Dyeing

So cold, frigid nights have been my playground of late. This piece of cotton fabric was dyed with Dynaflow, then left outside overnight to "dry" in 20 degree weather. The wet dye forms ice crystals and allows the colors to meld in unplanned ways. It is always a surprise to open the door in the morning and see what the night has brought.
